Buffalo-Style Alaska Crab
16 Alaska snow crab cocktail claw, king or dungeness
crab legs thawed
1/4 cup melted butter
1-1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1 tsp. barbecue sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. chili powder1/4 tsp. celery salt
1/4 tsp. lemon pepper
Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce (recipe follows)
Arrange cocktail claws or crab legs on broiling
pan; set aside. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients;
mix until well blended. Brush both sides of each crab claw
with butter mixture. Broil 5-6 in. from heat source for 3-4
min., or just until crab is hot. Remove from oven; brush with
remaining butter mixture. Serve with Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce.
Makes 4 servings.
Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce
3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. nonfat plain yogurt
1 Tbsp. crumbled blue cheese
3/4 tsp. fresh lemon
1 tsp. chopped parsley juice
In small bowl, combine all ingredients; whisk until well
blended.
