Marinated Mushrooms
Online Submission

2 lbs. fresh mushrooms, washed
1 cup red wine vinegar
1 cup salad oil or olive oil
2 tsp. salt
2 garlic cloves, chopped or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 Tbsp. freeze-dried chives
2 bay leaves

Remove stems of mushrooms and soak in salt water for 1/2 hour and drain. Combine all ingredients including mushrooms and soak for 24 hours (a cake pan works well). Use spatula to turn mushrooms in marinade.
