Denise’s Chili
Makes 10-12 servings

1 lb. hamburger (ground beef)
1 lb. Tennessee Pride Sausage (mild or hot)
1 cup onion
1 cup celery
1-15 oz. can kidney beans in chili sauce
1-28 oz. can crushed tomatoes

1 cup green pepper
1-6 oz. can tomato paste2 cloves garlic minced or crushed
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

In a Dutch oven cook beef, sausage and onion till meats are brown; drain off excess fat. Stir in beans, undrained tomatoes, green pepper, celery, tomato paste, sugar, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and chili powder. Cover and simmer 1-1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.

Crockpot directions: Cook meats and onion till meats are brown, drain. Spoon meat into crockpot. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; cook on low heat setting for 8 to 10 hours.
