Apple-Cranberry Crisp
Lois Stone, Wisconsin Dells

3 cups unpeeled apples, chopped
2 cups cranberries
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
Topping:
1-1/2 cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup butter, melted
Ice cream or whipped cream

Combine apples, cranberries and sugar in an 8-inch square pan or 2-quart casserole dish. Mix thoroughly to blend; set aside. Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, pecans, and butter until crumbly. Spread evenly over fruit layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until the fruit is fork-tender. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream. Serves 8.
