Blonde Brownies
Janice Ward, Fort Atkinson

2-2/3 cups sifted flour
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup butter
2-1/4 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 cup nuts
1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a saucepan, melt the butter; add brown sugar and stir. Cool for 10 minutes. Beat in 1 egg at a time. Add flour mixture, nuts, and chocolate chips. Spread in a 15-x10-x1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25–30 minutes.
