Butter Crisps
3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sifted flour |
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp. baking powder
Granulated sugar for rolling
Candied cherries
Citron for decorating |
Cream butter, add sugar, beat in egg and
vanilla. Add sifted flour. Refrigerate for several hours.
Shape level teaspoons of dough into balls. Roll in granulated
sugar. Place on greased cookie sheets. Decorate with candied
cherries and citron. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.
