Friendship Cake  (1)

Starter
1 can (15-1/4 oz.) pineapple chunks, drained
1can (16 oz.) sliced peaches, drained
1 can (17 oz.) apricot halves, drained
1 jar (10 oz.) maraschino cherries, drained
1-1/4 cups sugar
1-1/4 cups brandy
Cake
1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix
2/3 cup oil
4 eggs
1 small box instant pudding (any flavor)
1/3 cup fruit starter mixture (fruit only)
1 cup chopped nuts (if desired)

   Combine all starter ingredients in a bowl. Stir gently. Cover and let stand at room temperature for 3 weeks. Then mix all cake ingredients together. Bake in a greased tube or bundt pan at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Bundt pan works best.
