Fruit Cake
Patricia Ray, Arkdale

2-1/2 cups unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 jar (28 oz.) None Such Ready-to-Use Mince Meat
1 can (14 oz.) Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
2 cups (1 lb.) mixed candied fruit
1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Grease a 9-inch tube pan; line with wax paper and grease again (or use generously greased and floured 10-inch fluted tube pan). Sift together flour, baking soda; set aside. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients; blend in dry ingredients. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour and 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes. Turn out of pan. Garnish with glazed cherries.
