16 oz. pkg. Oreo or
chocolate sandwich cookie
1/2 gallon ice cream, any flavor
16 oz. jar fudge topping
8 oz. Cool Whip
1/2 cup shortening, melted
Crush cookies to crumbs. Save
1 cup for topping. Mix melted shortening and rest of crumbs
in 9x13-inch pan. Press to form crust in bottom of pan.
Slice ice cream to fit into layer on pan. Spread chocolate
topping over ice cream. Cover with Cool Whip. Sprinkle remaining
crumbs over dessert. Cover and freeze. Keeps indefinitely.
