Peach Torte
Marianne Severson, West Allis

1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter or oleo
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 egg yolks
1 cup milk
Sliced peaches

    Mix butter, flour, baking powder, salt, and 2 Tbsp. sugar together and put in a 9x9-inch pan. Pat crusts on sides. Arrange sliced pieces of peaches over crust. Sprinkle with 1 cup sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Pour over 2 egg yolks and 1 cup milk. Bake 30 minutes longer at 400 degrees.
