Microwave Peanut Brittle

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1 cup raw peanuts or regular kind
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix the first 4 ingredients together. Put
in a 2-quart microwave dish. Cook for 8 minutes and stir
at least twice in between. Take out of microwave. Add last
3 ingredients and mix well. Pour into a buttered pan or
cookie sheet and cool. Break into pieces.
