Pecan Fingers

Marianne Severson, West Allis

1 cup butter
1/4 cup powdered confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. water
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups pecans, grated

Cream butter; mix in sugar, vanilla, and water. Add flour, salt, and grated nuts. Chill about 1 hour in refrigerator. Form into small rolls about the size of a finger. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for one hour. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm. Makes about 5 dozen.
