Scotch-a-Roos
Lavern Henderson, Galesville

1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
2/3 cup peanut butter
2 cups Rice Krispies
2/3 cup chocolate chips
2/3 cup butterscotch chips

Combine sugar, syrup, and peanut butter in a small pan. Just bring to a boil for about 1 minute and pour this mixture onto Rice Krispies you have in a bowl. Mix and put in a 9-x9-inch pan. Then melt the 2 chips together and spread on top of the Rice Krispies.

Cook’s Note: Double recipe if you want a 9-x13-inch pan of bars.
