Chocolate-Glazed Shortbread Cookies
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
1 cup powdered sugar
2 cups flour
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate or colored candy melts
1 cup finely chopped pecans or candy sprinkles |

Cream together butter and powdered sugar.
Gradually add flour. Form half of the dough into an 8-inch-long
log. Flatten the dough to 1/2-inch thick. Slice into 1/4-inch
slices and place cut side down on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Repeat with second half of dough. Bake at 325 degrees for
15 minutes or until pale golden brown. Cool. Melt chocolate.
Dip one end of cookies into chocolate then into nuts or sprinkles.
Place on waxed paper until set.
