Sour Cream Raisin Bars
Mary Ann Giemza, Arcadia

2 cups raisins
1 cup butter
1 tsp. baking soda
3 egg yolks
1-1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup brown sugar
1-3/4 cups oatmeal
1-3/4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2-1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook raisins in a little water for 10 minutes. Drain, cool, and set aside. Mix together brown sugar, butter, oatmeal, baking soda, and flour. Put half of this mixture in the bottom of a 9-x13-inch cake pan. For the filling, mix together egg yolks, sugar, sour cream, and cornstarch. Boil until thick; stirring constantly.
