Baked Chop Suey
Marge Reinsch, Neshkoro

1 lb. ground beef
2 Tbsp. fat
2 medium onions, chopped
1 cup celery, finely chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1-1/2 cups warm water
1 cup minute rice, uncooked
1/4 cup soy sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 can chow mein noodles

Brown beef in hot fat until crumbly. Add remaining ingredients, rinsing the cans of soup with the 1-1/2 cups warm water. Place in a 2 quart casserole and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Cover with chow mein noodles and bake 15 minutes more.
