DeLux Meat Loaf

1-1/2 lbs. ground
beef
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup onion, minced
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. sage
1-1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
Mix the above thoroughly. |
In a separate
bowl, mix:
1-1/2 cups cooked wild rice
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. sage
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper |
Press half of the meat mixture in the
bottom of a loaf pan. Spread with rice mixture and top
with the remaining meat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for
one hour.
Note: You can substitute
1 lb. of ground venison and 1/2 lb. of pork sausage in
place of the ground beef.
