  Bohemian Bread Crumb Dumplings
(strouhankové knedlíky)
Vince Marik of Pastries Preferred, Mauston

1/2 cup flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup fine bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
Salt to taste

Mix flour, baking powder, and bread crumbs. Add milk and egg. Salt to taste. Form three dumplings and boil for 10 minutes. You can also add caraway or poppy seed for different taste.
