(Potato Dumplings)

About 4 lbs. raw potatoes, peeled
About 1/2 lb. cooked potatoes
Salt
Bread cubes

Press the cooked potatoes through a grater. Grate the peeled, raw potatoes; squeeze out all excess moisture (a cloth towel works well). Combine potatoes and sprinkle with salt; combine thoroughly until mixture can be formed into balls. Form into balls and press a bread cube into the center of each ball. Cook the dumplings in boiling salt water, about 30 minutes. When dumplings start turning in the pot, they are done.
