Thousand Island Dressing
Joyce Linderholm, Eau Claire

1 cup salad dressing (ie. Miracle Whip)
1/4 cup plus 3 tsp. milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. onion powder
2 Tbsp. chili sauce
2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
Salt and pepper, to taste

Mix well.

 

HomemadeThousand Island Dressing

3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
2 Tbsp. Heinz chili sauce
2 Tbsp. green peppers, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. onions, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 hard-boiled egg, chopped

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl except egg. Stir in chopped egg last. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

 

Thousand Island Dressing

1 cup salad dressing
3 Tbsp. chili sauce
1 Tbsp. green pepper, chopped
1 tsp. pimento, chopped
1 tsp. chives or onion, chopped

Blend and refrigerate.
