Potato Soup Supreme

4 cups potatoes, cubed
2 medium onions, chopped
3/4 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 cups milk
1/4 cup butter |
Combine first 7 ingredients in a heavy 4-quart saucepan. Cover and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Slightly mash potatoes. Add milk and butter. Reheat and serve. Makes 8 cups.
