Last month, we printed a request from reader Sharon Donahoe, who had lost her recipe for butterscotch brownies. It was a recipe that she had obtained from a 50-year-old Betty Crocker cookbook, and no subsequent recipes she tried quite measured up.

Well, our readers came to the rescue, inundating us with responses. It was evidently a very popular cookbook and still sits on many of our readers’ kitchen shelves.
