Great Grilling Ideas with Wisconsin Dairy

Looking for new ways to add flavor to your grilled foods? Try one of the many ideas listed below and get grilling with your favorite Wisconsin dairy products!

Flavored Butters:

Flavored butter is an easy way to add zip to your favorite grilled foods. Create your own tasty combination by adding any number of ingredients to softened, unsalted butter. After thoroughly mixing ingredients, refrigerate until ready to serve.

Creamy Mushroom Butter—Add whipping cream, finely chopped crimini and shiitake mushrooms, and minced shallots.

Garlic Cheese Butter—Mix garlic, freshly grated Wisconsin parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.

Flavored butters are not only ideal for adding flavor, they also aid in the grilling process. A brush of melted butter helps protect fruit, vegetables, and meats from high grill temperatures and promotes a rich, grilled color.

Wisconsin Cheese-Stuffed Burgers:

Wisconsin cheese makes a basic grilled burger extra special—especially when the cheese is inside! Nearly any type of Wisconsin cheese is perfect for stuffing—try one of these delicious cheeses, or experiment with the cheese of your choice.

• Spice things up with a flavored cheese such as Jalapeno Monterey Jack or Tomato-Basil Cheddar.

• Stuff a burger with a cheese blend—combine Fontina and Gruyere or Cheddar, Mozzarella, and Provolone.

Make stuffing burgers easy—try convenient, prepackaged cheese cubes, blends, and shreds available in the dairy case of your local grocery store.

Perfect Potato Toppers:

Baked potatoes—a favorite barbecue side dish—taste even better when topped with REAL Wisconsin sour cream. For delicious richness and fresh flavor, top baked potatoes with one of the following specialty sour creams or visit the dairy case for prepackaged potato topping products.

Herbed Sour Cream—Add chives, oregano, parsley, mint, salt, and pepper.

Blue Cheese-Bacon Sour Cream—Add Blue cheese and bacon crumbles.
